Job Overview: As Baker, you will play a key role in the baking operations, ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods, and maintaining consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
1. Baking Responsibilities:
a. Weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare dough.
b. Baking different bread types, such as cinnamon rolls, baguettes, and multigrain breads.
c. Adjusting oven temperatures to ensure proper baking.
2. Cash Register Duties:
a. Greeting customers in a pleasant and helpful manner.
b. Taking and filling bakery orders for customers.
c. Operating the cash register, bagging baked goods, and handling transactions.
3. Coffee-Related Duties:
a. Brewing and serving coffee to customers.
b. Keeping the coffee station clean and organized.
c. Offering coffee pairings with bakery items.
4. Recipe Development and Innovation:
a. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes, innovate existing products, and introduce seasonal offerings to enhance the bakery's menu.
b. Experiment with different ingredients, techniques, and baking methods to create unique and appealing baked goods that resonate with customers.
5. Food Safety and Sanitation:
a. Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
b. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, including equipment, utensils, work surfaces, and storage areas.
6. Inventory Management and Procurement:
a. Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment.
b. Manage ingredient costs and minimize waste through efficient production planning and inventory control measures.
7. Teamwork environment
